The solution: AKAMAS from GINO-AKA - so that everything runs safely and smoothly.
With the AKAMAS analyzer, GINO-AKA provides a specially developed tool that measures the rotor currents in two phases of the rotor circuit of slip ring motors and calculates several starting characteristics in real-time.
The measurement data of the AKAMAS are logged in a customized software and can be evaluated by the users. In addition, the starting curves and performance indicators are displayed on the integrated touch display.
The AKAMAS is the first stand-alone device that provides users with accurate metrological analysis of the startup process. The measurements enable the user to adjust an exact setting of liquid starters to the requirements of the application. It can also be used as a maintenance tool that detects when starting performance deteriorates during the life of the starter and informs when maintenance is required.

The AKAMAS is available as a handheld unit and is supplied with two current transformers. The transformers can be placed in the high voltage control cabinet of the liquid starter, on the motor cables between LRS and WRIM, and in the terminal box of the WRIM.
The AKAMAS is also available as an optional embedded and pre-wired add-on with GINO-AKA type AK and MAK liquid starters.
