Damping resistors
Filter resistors are used to prevent mains feedback in energy systems. Large induction smelters in aluminum or steel plants generate harmonics to the mains frequency. These must be kept away from the grid at all costs. Filters, usually in the form of T or L elements, are used for this purpose. An absorption circuit in the input of the medium-voltage supply, consisting of a series connection of capacitance and inductance, loads the harmonics and attenuates them.
In order to avoid dangerously high switching overvoltages at the choke and to increase the bandwidth of the absorption circuit, the choke L is damped by a resistor R.

Filter resistors are manufactured on the basis of steel grid resistors. The required number of elements are assembled into one or more packages and combined in one or more mounting frames, taking into account the insulation for the system voltage.
As an innovative driving force in the industry, we manufacture and sell factory resistors in all power classes from 50 watts. At GINO AG, we focus on growth and the development of international markets in order to further expand our position as a leading manufacturer.
Our focus is on offering customized solutions and we are constantly working on the further development of our company in order to meet the requirements of our customers.
Filter resistors, damping resistors or water-cooled resistors: our wide range of high-performance resistors for industrial and transportation applications are subject to high requirements in terms of safety, low maintenance and durability. In addition to reliable components in various designs, we offer high quality and products at fair prices.
