Water-cooled resistors
By using water-cooled resistors, the heat development that usually occurs at the location of use is prevented. During braking processes, the electrical drive energy is converted to heat energy. This heat energy is absorbed by the water and can be re-used.
A new range of water cooled resistors EV2 is available in modular construction and can be stressed up to 25 kW per module.
Rheostatic braking of all types of low and medium voltage AC drives in:
Generally the water cooled resistors are preferably used for the applications, at which a heat generation is not desirable or not allowed or a water cooling circuit is still existing. Please note that the water cooled modules are not suitable for a very dynamic load or a impulse stress applications.
